Your Holiday Home in the Odenwald

The Wallacher Hirtenhaus (Shepherds House) is an ideal place for outdoor activities and short trips between Frankfurt and Heidelberg.

The holiday house offers enough space for longer stays with 8om² on two floors. Together with the fenced garden this is a perfect home for dogs and their owners.

It is only 3 steps to the ground floor. Here you find a open living area with tiled stove, cosy corner seat, kitchen and the bathroom.

On the first floor you find a living-bedroom abd the loggia.

The sun is shining on the loggia in spring, in summer the wine leaves provide half-shade. In the garden  a lime tree plays with light and shadow.

Odenwald - Odins forest. This is

 a specially varied landscape with vast forests divided by fertile valleys. Truely made for a god - or simple for everybody looking for recreation outdoors.

In this varied landscape interested observers see - beside the common - some rare plants and animals (for example, white helleborine, spotted salamander).

Numerous hills are crowned by romantic castles - often providing a panorama view.  

A rarity are the wines of the "Odenwälder Weininsel". Try to stroll through Groß-Umstadt and taste the racier Riesling or the fruity red wine.
